- We have two cats, 9 and 2, and were aching for them to play with each other. The older one was a little miffed that we brought in young blood. I was looking for a cat tree for quite some time before I stumbled across this one. We have scratching posts so I was more interested in something they could play on. It looked unique, and even with the other not so great review I went for it. At first they just sniffed it and didn't seem too interested. We even put wet food in it to try to get them inside. We wrote it off as a bad choice. A few months later we decided to separate the boxes and put the two big ones side by side, with the holes lined up. All of the sudden our living became a kitty fun-house. I've never seen two cats play so long and hard together!! They go on top, behind, inside, and run around them. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen! We now have the other boxes scattered around the house and they like to hide inside of them. It's not as well constructed as I would like, but if it works it works, right?
- I got this for my 10 month old Bengal. His first attempt on scaling this thing brought the top crate barreling down on him. He's fairly big and a little clumsy for his age but loves it best when I throw stuff into the holes for him to fetch, he has trouble getting around inside the smaller boxes but really enjoys clawing the lower ones. I think this climber could benefit from some sort of secure velcro attachments so the smaller boxes won't tumble off when stacked. This is what I'll be doing with mine.
Looks great but needs a little tweeking design wise.
- One of the boxes had exposed, very sharp staples. If I didn't have the forethought to inspect the product thoroughly, my kittens could have been seriously injured. This is a poorly made product from China. The fabric was warped all over, and had a very sloppy appearance to it. I was expecting a high quality kitty condo for this price but what I got was imported junk. Avoid this feline hazard unless you don't care about your cat's safety.
